Shlomo Lkhoolkhoon,
Can you guess the language of the Lord's Prayer?

Amen.

Have fun!

Fush BaShlomo Lkhoolkhoon,
Yuhannon

Shlomo Lkhoolkhoon,

That was very good guys. I would love to see the Mozarabic Rite expanded to include the New World.

Also how did you figure it out?

Fush BaShlomo Lkhoolkhoon,
Yuhannon

Easy!
First you recognize it as coming from one of the Romance languages and slowly eliminate the ones you know and see the relationship to the ones that seem to have a strong connection and BINGO! Or/ And then think outside the box and think " Classical usage " since it in the Lord's prayer it has to be from the liturgy and remembering the other rites of the Western Catholic Church Ambrosian, Bragan, Dominican, Carthusian, Mozarabic, , look for strong reference points and again BINGO!

It took me about four minutes. I found a website that has the Romance languages divided into subgroups which happened to use the Lord's Prayer as a sample for each.

I thought it was Galician until I saw the answer. I think I may have overheard a conversation in that tongue at a bookstore. It was definitely a tongue from the Iberian Peninsula, but neither Spanish nor Portuguese. I hear enough of the former at work; I heard the latter growing up in New England.
