The Holy Hierarch St Ilarion of Poltava (+1904) has recently been glorified a Saint. Here is an image of him:

Ivan Usheniv was born into a priestly Orthodox family and entered seminary after which he was ordained as a married priest himself. His wife and children predeceased him (the cholera epidemic) and he decided to enter the monastic state.

He was later appointed as the Archimandrite of the Kyivan Caves Lavra and later still as the Bishop of Poltava.

Renowned for his very holy life, his resignation to the Will of God and for his very fruitful and productive works on behalf of the Church, St Ilarion was immediately acclaimed a saint by the people (how do you say, "Santo Subito" in Slavonic?).

Through the prayers of the newly glorified Holy Hierarch Ilarion, Lord Jesus Christ our God have mercy on us!
