One for those who know their monastic typicon...
At Royal Hours on Great & Holy Friday and the eve of the Nativity of Christ, at the end of the First Hour is read a catechetical sermon by St. Theodore the Studite.
One would be tempted to assume the same holds true for Royal Hours on the eve of Theophany. But does it? I've searched my sources and online but can find nothing. Surprisingly, anastasis.org.uk is mostly blank when it comes to Theophany Eve. I have a collection of 95 of St. Theodore's Catecheses (is that all of them?) in Ukrainian, but none are designated for the eve of Theophany.
I am inclined to believe there is no sermon from the Studite at the service in question. If that is the case, is there a sermon from someone else read here?
Enquiring minds want to know.
