Christ is in our midst!!

It seems to me that the whole discussion should take place within the context of the mandate of Vatican II that the Eastern Catholic Churches should take no changes to their liturgical life without consultation with their brethren outside the Catholic Communion. It also seems to me that unilateral moves that are not part of their tradition will just distance them from the Churches that they are parallel to. Additionally, moves like this that may seem to be papally-ordered just reinforce the idea that coming into communion with Rome means dictation in matters that are part of their life--matters that they are competent to decide on their own without outside help or orders.

There is a Greek Orthodox parish that has the custom of washing women's feet: link. [youtube.com]

No offense, but it seems like this particular parish does not have 12 men in attendance that could take part. A quick perusal of the website shows a lot of Greek pride, and some Church life activities.
