The Third Royal Hour for the Eve of the Nativity has an Old Testament lesson which is announced as "A reading from the prophet Jeremiah", though it is Baruch 3:36-4:4.

The Wikipedia entry for Baruch states:

In the Eastern Orthodox Church and those Eastern Catholic Churches which follow the Byzantine Rite, a selection from Baruch (which is considered an extension of the Book of Jeremiah, and is announced in the services as "Jeremiah") ...

Can anyone shed any more light on this?

This is the "Letter of Jeremiah" and is s stand alone book in the Eastern Orthodox churches, not to be confused with the Book of the Prophet Jeremiah. See the table at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Books_of_the_Bible.
