Thank you, Alice! Yes, I agree with you. Hollywood is at least somewhat resonsible for portraying the father as a dummy in popular culture. It started with Archie Bunker . Then came Homer Simpson, Al Bundy, and finally that disgusting Family Guy, which I can't bear to watch.
