The Lord's Prayer is a good starting prayer .....thy will be done. The hard part is trying to discern what's God's will is for us.
Pray to the Holy Spirit, with a spirit of humility and obedience. Try to hear His voice in your heart, remembering that it may not be what you want to hear. I have found that the saying "Be careful what you pray for -- you may get it" is very true.
"Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth
You are everywhere present and fill all things.
Treasury of blessing, and giver of life,
Come and dwell inside us. And cleanse us of our sins, O Gracious Lord."
Be patient, contemplate, listen, contemplate, and listen some more. Pray often.
You may find that by waiting for an answer, you may miss an opportunity. Perhaps sometimes that in itself is your answer and solution.
