Sts Basil the Elder and Emmelia gave the world a family of saints including two of the Church's greatest theologians. Why then can I find so little information on them? Particularly in this era of abortion and contraception --In Europe for instance 1 in every 3 children is born to Muslim parents. At this rate they'll convert the continent without even having to evangelise the Christians!-- in the face of the culture of death should we not be holding up the parents of Sts Basil the Great and Gregory of Nyssa as examples to the Christian youth?
