Glory to Jesus Christ!

Thanks to all, who responded to my previous question about the Book of Hours. Now I have food for thought!

Does anyone know where I can purchase an icon of the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary? I've seen icons with the Mother of God as the central icon, and around her her life. But I'm looking for something like that, but with the mysteries of the Rosary around her, 8X10 or larger.

Thanks!
Chris

Well believe it or not I can help smile and at the same time I can't frown

I'm sure I saw one in Lourdes - as a postcard size - and I think I sent it to one of our members here - but I have not seen it since - and being totally honest - I can't remember to whom I sent it.

I did get it in the Librarie in the Domaine in Lourdes - and it was about 2 years ago

Sorry to be irritating

I don't know, but an 8x10 icon with all the Mysteries would require a highly skilled miniaturist!

Hi Chris!

What about a 12 Feasts Ikon?

It has the Resurrection in the center and then many of the Feasts that are mentioned in the Mysteries of the Rosary....

Chris, there is an icon like you mention which was written by two brothers in L'viv, Ukraine in the recent past.

I have a student who showed me the icon last week [it was much larger than 8X10, more like 24" or 36"] and I will find out where she got it.

Yes, your best bet would be to find a reproduction of a larger icon that has been reduced in size. A small original icon with that kind of detail would cost a fortune, I would think.

Hey,

Thanks for the info. I know I couldn't afford an "authentic" panel icon, but a photo reproduction would certainly serve the purpose.

The Resurection 12-feast icon is a great idea, I never even thought of that. That may be the way to go if I can't find the other.

Keep me informed if anyone has any other ideas or possibilities!

S Bohom,
Chris

Dave,

Cool sites!

The icon of Our Lady of the Sign with the mysteries is exactly what I'm looking for. Now only to find a supplier to order a copy!

Any suggestions brothers and sisters?

Chris

Dave- great rosary sites! I don't know where you can get a copy of that icon -just what you were looking for- but I know someone who might: if you scroll down that page there is an essay by Dr Alex Roman. Send Alex ["Orthodox Catholic" on the forum]an email and I'll bet he can tell you.

Yes, did you write to the webmaster of that site? My suggestion is that you write the webmaster and ask him/her. Then tell us please!

A] that icon does not have the Mysteries of the Rosary.
B] We should all boycott Bridgebuilder for their promotion of heretical "icons".

A] well, it says the stars represent the mysteries.
B] I second that sentiment! Any site that carries the work of Robert Lentz should be avoided. Isn't he the one that did an icon of a gay-bashing and tried to equivocate it to Christ's Passion?
