Glory to Jesus Christ!

Does anyone know of a place where I can get the music for the Matins service for Holy Saturday morning?

dear in Christ,

I hear that Fr. Roman Galadza will be very happy to supply you with music for Jerusalem Matins - either English and/or Ukrainian.

you can email him via his website

If you wish music for the Ruthenian edition (with Carpatho-Rusin Chant) send me your mailing address and I'll send you a copy.

You will also find music for the three stanzas of lamentations in Orthodox Hymns in English, adapted from the Greek by Father Michael G. H. Gelsinger. I presume there is more English music in the just-published Volume 3 of the Holy Week music from St. Vladimir's Seminary Press.

Mark - I have a paper copy of Fr. Roman Galadzas and Fr. John Tataryn's (St. Demetrius) versions I would be happy to send - both use primarily Galician tones with some Kyivan chant as well.

Administrator and Diak:

I tried to send each of you a PM with my address, since I would like to have both Ruthenian and Ukrainian versions of the service in English, but both of your boxes are full at the moment.
