Hi,
We had seminarian from a nearby school join us this evening for Vespers & Divine Liturgy. He is blind. I am wondering is there Divine Liturgy or Byzantine pray books writtten in Braille? I know he can listen to tapes but he may enjoy reading prayer silently or following along in Church through a book?

This as far as I know only applies in the UK but there's no reason why it can't be done across the Big Pond.
Here some of the Prisons have a workshop where books are transcribed into Braille.
Also in Scotland, I understand, that 2 Parishes in different Dioceses each have a blind Reader and they have been able to obtain a copy of the Lectionary in Braille for them. I'm told that both Readers are really excellent.
Obviously the transcription is an arduous task but it has been done - and doubtless can be done again.
Perhaps your support groups for blind people could help in this matter ?
