Blessings to all our Romanian brethren in Canada who will celebrate with the bishop.
Now, what the heck do we have to do to get our friends their OWN church?!!?!
(The closest 'eastern' church to me is across the street, a Romanian Orthodox -OCA- community that purchased the former St. Anthony RC church building. Tiny, but, it's THEIRS. And their pastor is a saintly man who suffered in prisons in Romania. And they host a small Ethiopian Orthodox community. So, these Romanians are pretty high in my book!! Bless 'em all!!
Blessings!

Dear Romanian, I hope that you will not take any offence if I ask you about the way baptism is celebrated at Annunciation Romanian Catholic Mission (see pictures at www.romanianbyzantine.org). Why is not baptism by immersion celebrated in this parish? Is that the common practice among Rumanian Byzantine Catholics? Taking into account that baptism by immersion is nowadays allowed at the Latin Catholic Church and that at almost every Roman Catholic Church there is at least one baptismal font is not this “jar and dish baptism” an example of "more Latin than Latins" mentality? Obviously I speak always from the liturgically point of view (everybody knows that Romanians are very proud of their Roman and Latin linguistic, historical and cultural heritage). Thank you very much. Have a Holy Lent and Great Week. Your in Christ, F
