The Stubbornness of the "parent" or is it "the child" churches gets to me sometimes. I did not convert to either RC or EO because of the almost limitless stubbornness of both. I admire the legacy of Eastern Catholicism as Orthodox in Communion with Rome despite the lack of vision displayed by our present American hierarchs.

I picked up this quote from someone here I believe and I use it as my sig line on Catholic Convert.

"We Greek Catholics carry two crosses - one of separation from our Orthodox brethren after the Union and one of misunderstanding and lack of respect by the Latin majority, even though we have given the sacrifice of millions of martyrs for fidelity to the Union. It can be a great opportunity for witness to unity."

I think that when the two warring children stop their childish fighting the entire world will be much better off.
