My Favorite New Testament verse is Philippians 4:4-7 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I also love Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

I'm a newbie but I'll bite!
My favorite verse of scripture has always been James 1:2
Consider it pure joy my brothers when you face trials of many kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
(Notice the presbyterian NIV translation I grew up with  )

In the sixth month, the Archangel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the House of David. The virgin's name was Maria. and he came to her and said,
Ave Maria, gratia plena. Dominus tecum. But Maria was perplexed by his words and wondered what sort of greeting this might be. The Archangel Gabriel said to her, "Do not have fear, Maria, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will concieve and bear a son and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and he will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to Him he throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingodm will have no end." Maria said to Gabriel, "How can this be, since I do not know man?" Gabriel said to her, "Th Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the pwoer of the Most High will oveshadow you, therefore, the chid to be born will be holy, he will be called the Son of God. And now, your kinswoman Elizabeth, in her old age, has concieved a son, and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren. For nothing is impossible with God." Then, Maria said, "I am the handmaiden of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.
I used the Latin because, in my humble opinion, the Ave Maria set to Schubert is the most beautiful hymn in the Latin Church.

A few to help me keep the proper focus of not worrying about others but about myself:
Romans 14
...For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's....
Acts 10:28-29
...But God hath shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean....
And my reminders for why I have faith even in those times it seems less than convenient:
Jeremiah 7:3-11
...Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you dwell in this place....
John 6: 30-70
This narrative just encapsulates the whole of our faith for me. Jesus is the Bread of Life. Eucharist and the Real Presence. And then the crowning jewel: "Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life."
And a couple of guiding principles:
1 John 3
...let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
Proverbs 28:13
He that hideth his sins, shall not prosper: but he that shall confess, and forsake them, shall obtain mercy.
