I own two main Bible programes. One is a bare-bones programme that has only the Bible, in two translations. ( More if I pay for a certain coe to get them)

Its a raw text, no frills Bible programme.

The other is a Bible Deluxe programme, complete with dozens of versions, and numerous aids like Strongs concordance.

It also has Bible commentaries, but all Protestant.

It has Henry's Concice, and Henry's complete commentaries, Gills New Testament, Wesleys COmmentary, Scofeild, Darby, and even the Geneva Bible notes.

I like them as they aid me in my study, esp, of protestant theology, and soemtimes of general Bible study, but I was woneign if any programmes exst that explore the Orthodox or Cahtolic views, and have their commentatries?

Thanks.

Have you seen Biblia Clerus?

It is a (free!) program offered by the Vatican that is excellent. You can download various translations of the Bible, as well as the Hebrew OT, Greek NT, and the Septuagint and Vulgate. It also includes cross-referenced patristic commentaries, magisterial documents, articles from the Summa, and other such resources.

It is quite excellent.

I am having some trouble with the site, it says the page cannot be displayed.

Nevertheless, thanks for the information.

Did anyone try downloading Biblia Clerus?

I get up to the install screen, then a message pops up about a missing file and it closes.

I have Biblia Clerus! It is a noteworthy production but my one fault with it is that it expects the entire Church to be educated in Italian. It has good sources in French which I fortunately can read but the Spanish until the present is difficult for me. Hopefully after my course in Pastoral Spanish I will at least be able to comprehend that language somewhat.
