After hearing so many recomendations copy due to arrive late Feb.
Thanks for tip off Phillipe Gabare!

Any recomendations on how to read, is it a page turner or demand close study page by page or in even smaller chunks?

Having not read any of his books, is the style easy to read? Is it in an accesible style for a Latin Catholic with a little bit of knowledge of the East or am I likely to find it hard to understand?

Hey,
It is a beautiful book that can be read any way you like. Just to experience the richness of the book by just reading it as much as you can. Taking notes may not be the best in the beginning because, it will help you increase your knowledge about the Eastern faith. Smaller chuncks could help but it is all about you. Many blessings.

It is.

I did recieve a request to alter the title of this thread to the house style but as it was outside the time frame allowed, I am unable to, could an admin do this?

Now have my copy, not had time to read much due to Lent (busy time for organisisation at school) and events at home but already had a couple of those moments where you read a phrase and stop as it hits you like a hammer.

Think I'm going to read it fairly quickly once through to get the jist of it then slowly chapter by chapter.

The first part may take a bit to get oriented, as it is the first book he wrote. It is an awesome 'primer' on our faith. At the time of it's writing, he was writing to help bring the church back from 'latinizations'. So, some parts in the beginning, need to be understood in that context also.

When I got my book, I ended up in the hospital for a week. I knew the Lord had placed me on retreat! What a way to go. \:D
