My good friend Don (Don in Kansas who used to post on this Forum) gave me a wonderful book on Malanka this year: Ivan Sergeevich Gagarin: The Search for Orthodox and Catholic Union by Jeffrey Bruce Beshoner.

It is a fascinating read, and well highlights the tensions, cultural, intellectual, etc. between the Latins and the Russians of the time. I have been devouring it.

Deacon Randy,

It sounds fascinating and I think I am going to have to hunt it down, but I admit my real impetus in replying is to ask that you give my best to our brother Don the next time you speak with him.

Many years,

Neil
