Hello,

Arrived from Rome, I had the joy to see that truly I received a book sent by a beautiful soul of this forum.

The book is 'Abandonment to Divine Providence' by Fr. Caussade, translated and introduced by John Beevers.

I began to read it, and I am wee bit meditative, for this book's style surely differs from what I am used. However, I find it delightful and I will strive to read it until the last page. It will be a slower reading, for I do not know truly the English language, and I am often needed to use a Longman dictionary.

As always, I never say an opinion until I know the domain. I will say no word on this book until I will finish to read. If my soul will have a word to be shared, of course.

But I would appreciate any idea or thought or opinion or advice or direction that any of you could provide to me. The aim is to read and understand properly about the Will and the Providence of God.

Therefore I am open.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, look with much mercy to the soul who offered me this book, look to this soul, come, Lord Jesus Christ, come, and fill with eternal life this noble soul. Amin.

Again, thank you.

Brothers and Sisters:

Christ is Risen!! Indeed He is Risen!!

I went to Amazon and they have multiple copies of this book. Does anyone know what the difference is among the many printings? There are hard bound copies from many years ago and a new printing coming out with a 2008 date.

Thanks,

BOB
