In addition to what is at New Advent, what are some of the other sources for text-based English translations of the Church Fathers?

http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/

A fault I see with New Advent's database is that it seems to be missing Fathers such as Origin and Didymus the Blind, though there may be others as well. I can understand why they would not be included in that database. Perhaps it is for copyright reasons or because of the theological issues. For the latter reason, why include texts from the Apocrypha?

I have installed a good text-to-voice program and have been listening to various works at work. (Right now I'm going through St. Augustine's "City of God".) Books Google is a good source, though some editing would have to be done to those books which can be downloaded in *.txt format for them to read well in digitized voice.

Thank you!

Terry

Terry,

Believe it or not, Calvin College has an extensive online library.

That's a good one. I was pointed there for St. Chrysostom's Homilies on St. Matthew.

Terry,

Early Christian Writings contains a wealth of texts from the 1st century to Origen. Note, however, that they classify anything that speaks of Jesus as "Christian", so they also have Gnostic and other heretical texts there.
