C/IABA ICYCY XPI/ICTY !
The other day I came across a link from here to a Lutheran version of the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom. I didn’t reference it but knew I could find it later to “study” (aka snoop).
It’s been several days, can anyone help me find the post with that link?

What on earth have we all done to deserve this? And at what point in the service does the "Pastor" bestow the plenary indulgence? Right after the collection?

Forgive me for being unkind. But this ridiculous deformation of our most sacred service is shocking and offensive.

Benedicite!

I agree this is pretty horrible! As someone living in a traditionally Lutheran country, I can say that sadly the Lutherans have butchered the Roman Mass in much the same way. From a sincere but misguided desire for "reform," they have felt free to get rid of everything which they consider "un-biblical."

However, at least this Lutheran "Divine Liturgy" puts paid to the idea, recently discussed elsewhere on this forum, that all Protestants are somehow Western Christians and should join the Latin Church when they become Catholics!

Now boys, they are just acting in accordance with the Ukrainian bard Taras Shevchenko’s muse “Learn from others, forget not your mother…”

Imitation is the highest form of flattery. They are imitating us in more ways than one. Were we equally incensed, shocked and appalled when our Greco Catholics sing Benediction, recite the Divine Liturgy or lead the Way of the Cross?

As for citizens of the world’s largest Orthodox Christian country, Ukraina being considered western Christians because they found Christ from the Lutherans, where would Aquinas pigeonhole Jews for Jesus?

Orthodox Pyrohy,
Cyrillic does not come off on this system, so this is as good as I can get;
Слава’ Ісусу Христу!
C^ABA ICYCY XPUCTY disturbs others.

Try "Slava Isusu Khrystu". That's reasonably legible.

I cant' speak for Cyrillic, since I can't read it anyway. But it seems with every update, the forum is glitchy for a period of time. Is the software from Microsoft by any chance? wink

With all due respect, and I mean this-usually people write/say that phrase and then barrage a person with insults galore, would somebody try to convince me that the Council of Trent has nothing to do with problems in the East?
