As I often say, the relationship of us non-Russian Slavs with our brothers and sisters in Moscow is - complex. Hard not to be moved by the somber beauty of this clip - including the sorrowful choral chant of the Venerable Joseph - Blahobraznyj Iosef. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8ZH56eAWwM&feature=g-all-u&context=G2ee8f5eFAAAAAAAAAAA

Edward,

Google Translate makes it as 'handsome' when prompted to translate it from Russian to English, though from Ukrainian it properly translates it as 'noble'

Asked to translate it from Russian to Bulgarian and the Bulgarian then to English, it makes it as 'beautiful' - from Ukrainian to Bulgarian to English, it changes it from adjective to noun and makes it as 'nobleman'.

Many years,

Neil (obviously with nothing to do biggrin )

Translation programs are a great thing, but I always tell my relatives or others in Slovakia or Transcarpathia that my translation is from Google - lest they think I am an idiot. It is pretty funny to write something in English, translate to Slovak, then to Ukrainian and back to English. Now that's wasting time my friend!
