Channing,

My prayers are with you. God DOES love people with Autism, you are made in His image no more and no less than anyone else.

My young adult son has high functioning autism and has at times struggled with knowning that he is different and wondering why God does not bring a sudden change to free him from this condition.

There is a young lady in my parish who has struggled with Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome (CVS) for most of her life, and she, too, has wondered at times why there is no instant deliverance.

Please do some research on CVS. There are some excellent on line support groups which have benefited her.

She has also had fewer and shorter episodes since she began wearing a St. Benedict cross. I distributed those to the congregation the last time that the Exaltation of the Holy Cross fell on a Sunday. She began to do much better shortly thereafter, although it will always be lurking in the background.

O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers:
Mercifully hear our prayers and grant to your servants
the help of your power,
that their weakness may be turned into health
and our sorrow into joy;
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit,
one God,
now and forever,

AMEN.

Lord have mercy our sister in Christ, Channing--please dear Lord, through the intercessions of all the saints and of your Holy Mother, bring healing and comfort to her.

Channing--is there someone who can help you? I know that there are natural teas that help the stomach--perhaps you can google research for them, and perhaps they might help you? Also, I believe there are medications that can help you. Can you get to a doctor or emergency room now or when you are feeling better to have a consultation?

Blessings,
Alice
