For almost half a century now, Ron has been very much the brother with whom I was never blessed. (Our respective children all call the other 'Uncle' and consider themselves as 'Cousins' and not just in the typical Middle Eastern way that everybody is either your aunt, your uncle, or your cousin).

Ron suffered a severe heart attack last night, his third in the past half-dozen years. He was blessed to survive it - the cardiologist told him that, given its extent, his chances of having done so were only 1 in 2. He's had stents placed and is resting comfortably, while they do some further workup.

He would be very grateful for, and I would very much appreciate, your prayers that his recovery be both swift and excellent. I ask prayers as well for his wife, Kathy, and my niece Nicole, as they deal with the stress of this event.

We'll light the lampada before the icon of O. L. of Siluva, for their intentions tonight and tomorrow.

AMEN! Where two or more are gathered in prayer in the Name of Jesus, he is there. May the healing mercies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ fall upon him completing his healing on this Feast of Pentecost.
