Thank you and lets pray it arrives soon.

I believe you are referring to the upcoming English translation of the Ukrainian Catholic catechism, Christ our Pascha, right?

According to this critical review, it's to be available by the end of this year. In the meantime, you can read the review as to know what the catechism will present.

We've got about 20 copies of the Ukrainian version sitting on our parish bookcase. If it helps, the cover is very attractive. smirk

The English, Russian, Polish, Spanish and Portuguese translations are currently being worked on and will be submitted to the Patriarchal Catechetical Commission for final review and approval when finished. You might contact Sr. Ann Lazok (Eparchy of St. Josaphat) if you want to know more specific details.

I remember reading a very interesting commentary on it. (Possibly the same one griego catolico linked to.)

Just to clarify, there is no such thing as an "Eastern CCC." This new catechism has been developed and published by the UGCC so it is from and for the faithful of that particular sui juris church. That said, there is probably a great deal of value in it for all Eastern Catholics of the Byzantine Tradition.

Good point. When many of us hear "Eastern Catholic" our minds automatically go to the Ukrainian, Melkite, Romanian, Ruthenian, etc Catholic Churches who use the Byzantine Rite. I've been trying to learn more about the other Eastern Catholic Churches, but it's a slow process for me.

This was the first year I was aware of it too. I gotta say it made celebrating the Dormition/Assumption a lot more meaningful this year. smile
