Byzantines at the March for Life in Washington, DC
Saturday, 23 January 2010 19:42
WASHINGTON, DC - Byzantine Catholic faithful from across the United States joined in the annual 400,000 strong March for Life on Friday, January 22nd to protest the 1973 Supreme Court decision allowing the murder of children in the womb via abortion. We pray that the merciful Lord will touch the hearts of our political leaders with respect for life from conception to natural death.

The Spirit of Truth
O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, You are everywhere present and fill all things. Treasury of Blesings and Giver of Life, come and dwell within us, cleanse us of all stain, and save our souls, O Good One.

Wisdom from the Church Fathers
| Seek God daily. But seek Him in your heart, not outside it. And when you find Him, stand with fear and trembling, like the Cherubim and Seraphim, for your heart has become a throne of God. But in order to find God, become humble as dust before the Lord, for the Lord abhors the proud; whereas He visits those that are humble in heart, wherefore He says: “To whom will I look, but to the one who is meek and humble in heart?” St. Nectarius of Aegina |
