Holy Week Schedule for 2007:

Palm Sunday, 1 April - 4 PM Blessing of willow branches; Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom; enthronement of the Icon of Christ the Bridegroom

Great and Holy Monday, 2 April - 5:00 PM: Divine Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts.

Great and Holy Tuesday, 3 April - 4 PM Mystery of Holy Oil 5:00 PM: Divine Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts.

N. B. Because of the coincidence of Western Easter and Holy Pascha this year, it is not possible for us to serve on Great Wednesday or Holy Thursday!

Great and Holy Friday, 6 April - 2:30 PM Vespers and Entombment; Orthros “of Jerusalem”, the Lamentations and Procession.

Great and Holy Saturday, 7 April - 2:00 PM Vespers and Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great.

HOLY PASCHA – the Feast of Feasts

The Glorious Resurrection from the Dead Of Our Lord, God and Saviour, Jesus Christ
8 April 2007

Midnight: Procession, Paschal Orthros, Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom, Blessing of the Paschal foods. This service takes place in the main Church of the Pro-Cathedral;
   please enter through the doors on Marlborough Street.

4 PM Paschal Vespers

Confessions: Father Serhiy Stesenko was unable to obtain an Irish visa Holy Week. Father John Lundberg will be available to hear Confessions in English on Good Friday and Holy Saturday.

Flowers: As always, we will appreciate flowers to adorn the Tomb of Christ on Good Friday and to adorn the Church at the midnight Paschal service.

Schedule of Divine Services: Divine Liturgy on Sundays is at 4:00 PM. Holy Day services as announced (usually 11:00 AM, but always check in advance of the holy day). Baptisms are usually done during the Sunday Divine Liturgy. Services are sung and usually unabbreviated. Come and be welcome!

Location: All services are normally held in Saint Kevin's Oratory, the Catholic Pro-Cathedral, Dublin. Many Dublin bus lines stop in O'Connell Street, a few steps from the Pro-Cathedral. Connolly Station (for trains and theDART) are a few blocks from the Pro-Cathedral. Taxis are usually available. Parking in the city center can be a problem; the easiest thing to do for those coming to our services by car is to park in the garage of the Hotel Gresham; the garage entrance is on Thomas Lane, adjacent to the street entrance of Saint Kevin's Oratory. Alas, there is a charge for parking in the garage, but it's very convenient and relatively secure.
