Kiev, Ukraine (12/14/2000) - This morning (Thursday - 14 December 2000) at 4:45 am Kiev time His Beatitude Myroslav Ivan Cardinal Lubachivsky, Patriarch of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, died peacefully at the Metropolitan Palace of St. George's Cathedral in Lviv, Ukraine. Memory Eternal! His Beatitude had been ill for several years.

Further information is not available at this time. It is assumed that the funeral will take place in Lviv next week.
