His Grace, Bishop JOHN, ordains
Michael Skrocki to the priesthood. |
Father Michael graduated from St. Gregory the
Theologian Seminary in May of 1999 and since that time has been serving
a pastoral internship as a Deacon at St. Ann parish in Waterford, CT
under then pastor, Fr. Damon Geiger, O.SS.T. While a Deacon, Fr. Michael
assisted with the Sunday School and Vacation Church School programs as
well as visiting the shut-ins of the parish, and regular liturgical
duties and preaching. Fr. Michael has also been working as an editor for
Sophia Press, assisting in the preparation of various liturgical
publications.
Fr. Michael's first assignment is as the administrator of St. Ann
Melkite Greek-Catholic parish in Waterford, CT. The assignment became
effective June 15, 2000 due to the transfer of Fr. Damon to become the
Master of Novices for his religious order, the Trinitarians.
The generous support, both financial and spiritual, of the Ladies of
NAMWA played an important role in Fr. Michael's responding to the call
to the priesthood.
