The theme for this year's Day of Reflection has been inspired by His Holines, Pope John Paul II, who has proclaimed 1998 the Year of the Holy Spirit in preparation for the Jubilee Year 2000. Metropolitan Judson will highlight the the day with the celebrtion of a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great. The purpose of this Day of Reflection is to offer a variety of ways from the Apostolic Traditions of the East in which we can become more aware of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
All college and high school students, youth ministers and catechists are invited to participate. The day will be of special interest ot those wishing to grow closer to God and discover the deep apostolic spirituality of the Christian East. All Catholics, Orthodox and members of other Christian denominations are also most welcome.
