Dear Secco,
I mean precisely what you have said so beautifully!
You are right, the sense of the great Mystery is very important to experience in liturgy and in our approach to God.
Mystery brings us into the feeling of "awe" as our heart meditates on the Word of God. The Spirit can then speak to us and through us.
But we must wait for Him and look for Him. He will come to us when we least expect it.
In the Byzantine Church, when the Priest is censing the people, there is a prayer that the people say at that time: "Lord, Your Good Spirit will lead me upon level ground."
Now that we begin the Novena of the Holy Spirit in anticipation of the wonder and joy of Pentecost, the Spirit looks for those in whom He can make His abode, together with the Father and the Son.
The secrets of many hearts will be laid bare, truly.
As for what this all means, we each understand in our own way.
God bless you, Servant of Christ!
Alex

I will check the link. Alex, what do youy mean by Simon's prophesy. Of course, I know the Scripture...I'm thinking about all the divisions of Christ's Body the Church these centuries since the prophesy. I know they
must pierce her Heart...Yet, if my Journey
deepens my faith then...its worth it.
I'm not anti-West...but I'm not certain
all the revisions and Vatican 2 were best...
Not to mention the very brief Masses often said so someone can run...I think the Mystery
is missing today...If I find it anew East
I'm there... He is Risen!
