Exactly the answer I was looking for (but wanted to hear from you) - they are in the Typikon and you followed it. Bravo.

I'm sorry it hasn't been continued - in my diaconate program Fr. Galadza really encouraged its use and specifically made reference to Fr. David's proposed cycle as an excellent way to do these. I would like to do the same someday. Prayers are offered for my fellow deacon and I ask the same of you.

Marc, apologies if this has been addressed, but I didn't see a reply to this query.

My understanding in Orthdoxy is that the restriction is that only one liturgy may be celebrated in one altar on one Antimension in a single day. I'm not sure how parishes that do more than one daily liturgy work around this restriction.

The other constraining factor is the fast the celebrant must maintain. By consuming the elements the pre-communion fast is broken.

Dear Father DIAKon!

It's always great to hear that my relatives have a positive influence! smile

How are you finding being a Deacon? How is it different from a Subdeacon?

Also, could you explain the proper use of the ripidia?

That's easy: gladiatorial-style fights between altar boys, typically in the sacristy.
