It is the other way round, sort-of...
We may recieve in an Orthodox Chruch but the Orthodox won't let us. The Orthodox are allowed to receive in our Churches, but their Canons forbid it.
I think...

Dear All:

Dmitri is right. Under the Cannons of the Catholic Church, members of the cannonical Orhtodox Churches are allowed to recieve communion although they are encouraged to respect their own Rites and traditions.

It is our big-o Orthodox bretheren that seem to have an "official" hang-up, although inter-communion is, in practice, apparently quite common.
