Dear OOD,

May God bless you and your family through the prayers of the Most Holy Theotokos and all the Saints.

You are indeed a true Believer and God, Who sees the secrets of our hearts, rewards His servants.

Alex

Hello fellas,
One other fascinating miraculous story is that of the Holy Fire in Jerusalem at Pascha. I love hearing & reading about it. Here's the site http://www.holylight.gr/agiofos/holyli.html
One of my Sunday school teachers experienced this last year and was inawe. Maybe one day we will have this video on our website.

Of course the greatest miracle is the Eucharist. God became man and has given us His Body & Blood for eternal life via the Divine Liturgy.

Rum O,

Our priest gets 4 tickets each year for spots inside, he can never go because of his obligations, so most years we have tickets that go used.

Of course even with tickets you still have to camp out from Holy Thursday to save your spot.

And from what I hear, if you fly Olympic Airways you can take the Holy Fire home with you in a special container.

One of these years soon I hope to do it, as time allows.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Dear Rum O (aka Brother, Robert)

To be honest, I would like to see the old calendar used so that the Orthodox Church could be unified in all things but I am obedient to our bishops and our Archdiocese who currently use the New Calendar.

I have not yet seen the Cicero Weeping Icon but have seen several Weeping Icons as they traveled through Texas allowing pilgrimage. I have been on pilgrimage to the Weeping Icon of New Sarov in the formerly ROCOR Monastery of Christ of the Hills. I was present when a child who could not walk was blessed by the myrhh tears of our Holy Mother to walk.My own Mother, who had Alzhiemers, was annointed and regained her memory for a short period, later she became Orthodox and experienced at her baptism/chrismation a similar period of orientation and awareness. As a result of that pilgrimage she had a wonderful devotion to our holy Mother to her dying day. When she reposed, she simply took a breath and fell asleep, Glory to God!

These manifestations seem to be accross the jurisdictions of Orthodoxy. These many glorious manifestations of the Holy Trinity in the lives of Orthodox Churches (Old and New Calendar) around the world remind us that God is very much aware of our Modern world and seeks to provide us with healing physically and spiritually by calling us to his Holy Church in love and to repentence.

Your brother in Christ,
Thomas

Okay Anastasios, you win. We have pews. However, I thougth the pews were a Protestant innovation. I once told my pastor that it would be nice to rid of the pews. He told me not to be a fundamentalist. lol

Christ is in our Midst!

Hi Thomas,
You have some amazing stories there. We have had our share of miraculous healings at St. George www.stgeorgecicero.org [stgeorgecicero.org]
Not long ago my pastor showed me a recorded tv news back in 1994 that showed this Roman Catholic woman healed from a life threatening cancer(I think) because she had the Holy Tears blessed upon her. Her Doctor called it a miracle live on tv. There have been so many stories that I could not keep track. I hope to compile them on our Church's website one day. The very same Holy Icon appeared on the window of our parishioners home in Schiller Park, IL. This also made the news. The appearance of the Blessed Virgin and Christ Child was outlined in oil on the window. I saw it in person. In addition to this, there was a miniture size of the very same Icon weeping oil. It was placed in a bowl to capture the oil. My pastor would have more to say than I could ever tell. I will place this on my agenda to gather these miraculous stories from around our community. What's truly amazing is how widely distributed the Holy Icon has gone around the world. That's the Gospel's truth.

I have NO doubt that that thing was a demonic phenomenon. Even scientists at NASA who have studied these things since 1946 say that they are not visitors from another planet. Those who go on these craft, the so-called "Encounters of the 3rd Kind," always ask the green men inside why they are here.

The answer is always the same, "To confuse people."

And there is only one power that does that . . .

Fr Seraphim Rose agreed: the UFOs aren't space aliens; they're demons.

Praise be to Jesus Christ!

Couldn't these miraculous manifestations of Our Lord and His Mother among Orthodox of various jurisdictions, among Oriental Orthodox, and among Catholics be calls to unity in one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church?

Vito
