I sometimes do have dreams or premonitions.
When they are strong enough, I communicate them to the people I perceive they are referring to.
And yes, I have a fairly good "correct" rate!

Dear Friends,
The Assumption/Dormition of the Most Mother of God is celebrated on 15 August, because that day a church of the Theotokos was consecrated in the place where, according to the tradition, the Mother of God stopped for a while (kathisma) in her way to Bethleem. The feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God is celebrated on 8 September, becouse that day the Church of Jerusalem conmemorated the consecration (enkainia) of the Church of St Ann in Jerusalem. The feast of the Entry of the Theotokos in the temple is also related with the consecration of the New Church of Jerusalem. Both East and West use the expressions Assumption and Dormition. The name Assupmtion (Metastasis in Greek)is found in the X century Typikon of the Church of Constantinople as well as in many icons, although the official name of the feast in the East is Dormition. The name Dormition (Dormitio or Transsitus in Latin) is also found in the liturgical texts of the Western Church.

Well not all Byzantine Catholic churches have latinzations. For example, take our mission in Wichita, KS, for the Feast of Dormition, we do have lamentations, funeral procession (with large icon of Theotokos laid asleep in the Lord), etc. We do it the real Byzantine way to a point other latinized BC are surprised!
Well...GOOD! We are in full obedience to the Pope in returning to our true Byzantine Faith. If one does not get rid of latinization then one is in disobedience to the Pope!
There's NO reason for any latinization at all! NO REASON! If one wants latinization..the one might as well join the Roman Church. Because Byzantine Church is Byzantine. Pretty simple, huh?

But the Orthodox Church herself doesn't adhere to a strict code here in terms of devotions etc.
I would suggest that the idea that we can have a purely Byzantine Church without the slightest "Latinization" - is itself Latinized thinking . . .
