Dear Alex ,
For once I will NOT accede to your request. Sorry. frown

You are good for us all and we can understand when occasionally you 'flip'.

My prayer is for you , that you sort out your employment and are resored to your usual happy self.

Dear Alex,

I sense an underlying frustration, and I think that most of us have also felt like that at one time or another. We must support each other, and NEVER lose faith, because no one ever said that walking the Christian walk would be an easy one.

In saying this, I would also like to remind you that perhaps you are being a bit selfish... wink

(Unless, ofcourse, you feel that your soul is not at peace because of this forum, or because it is taking away from your family life, in which case, your personal salvation and your God blessed relationships take precedent).

MANY, including me, on this forum, ENJOY your posts immensely. Yours are always the first I look for. WHAT A GIFT of Christian love, knowledge, charity, and the blessing of personal charisma you have been given!! smile If you are just having a bad day, don't deprive others of your gifts!!

As I said in a recent post somewhere, many of us during our Christian walks, experience the 'dark night of the soul', and it is difficult when we feel that our relationship with God is not what we want it to be, or that He isn't hearing us, isn't enlightening us and leading us, or that He is challenging us, or is unhappy with us....St. Theresa of Avila once chided God during a difficulty by saying, "if this is how You treat Your friends, then no wonder you have so few!" frown ...

That is why, I believe that He has blessed us with our Theotokos, His own Mother, so that we can always feel her comfort during our difficult times.

I will pray for you to her.

I WILL not pray that you leave this forum for good. THAT is between you, your soul, your loved ones, and our Lord.

A Sister in Christ,
Alice

If unemployment issues have gotten you down, then join the crowd. I'm unemployed too.

Dear Friends,

I'm obviously on edge - and I didn't think I was.

I'll come back when I've settled in to a new situation and when I can be nice.

God bless!

I, too, enjoy your posts, Alex.

My prayer is that we all say, "May God's Will be done in all things." And we should say this with as much human enthusiam as we can put together.

St. Elias said, "With zeal have I been zealous for the Lord God of Hosts." And that includes zealousness for doing His Will.

But, Lord, I do hope it is Your Will that our knowledgeable friend in Canada continues on this Forum!!!!

Dear Friends,

O.K., O.K., I'm a bit on edge lately. I have the Rite, no? wink

Life as an Eastern Christian isn't easy. There are all those complicated rubrics to learn, when to move, when to cross oneself etc. wink

And you can barely read the prayers for all the smoke from those censers.

I'll put things first, get a new job situation and then come back.

I ask you to pray for me to keep focused on my job-hunting, nomatter how much I'd rather be here.

God bless!

Hi Alex!

Well, the St. Nicholas ikon in church was almost in flames during Divine Liturgy yesterday with all the candles I lit for your job intentions....

Now, have to find ikon of St.Gabriel the Archangel to keep you on this Forum....

prayers and blessings...

I'm sorry if any of the stuff I said about "flirting" threw you off balance, Alex.

I was only kidding, but sometimes I do go a little too far. [just a little? ]

Hope you are feeling a little better, and I am praying for you too! smile

Alex!

You must be a classic overachiever that has a hard time underachieving when God says it's ok to take a break.

It is good to know that among friends (brothers n' sisters in the Lord) one can loose his cool and nothing is thought of it. Of course that is after the feathers are smoothed out again :p Although I must admit, I generally miss out on whose feathers you ruffle anyway. confused

DON'T LEAVE US ORPHANED BROTHER!
