I and others have learned so much from you.

As my brother I think it is time to say this. These forums, chat rooms, etc, are addictive to some. I'm a llitle addicted to the forum myself, but I try to keep my use use of it reasonable (some of you may not think so!).

That being said and observing all the posts you have put on the forum I think you may be addicted. Please don't get angry with me. It's just my opinion. You may need help to get off the forum if that is what you want to do.

Again my opinion, have you considered writing a book? You certainly have good material for it.

Initially, I was angry with myself for even starting this thread and was going to ask the PTB (Powers That Be) to remove it as another one of my "hissy-fits."

But I see that somehow this thread was meant to be as I have learned a number of insights from it!

My own sense of inner dissatisfaction is not, as I thought, related to job issues. It is related to an ongoing issue of a spiritual role - is it the priesthood or what is it?

I know that I'm not much good at all with the liturgy, singing etc. And I love the issues raised on this forum.

You are right and you've put your finger on the issue for me - thank you very much.

I have a burning need to write and express what I feel and pray about in this respect.

I will do it in a book.

Whatever you do, I think that you will do priestly work. I pray that you find a work that will challenge you and pull you till you find God at the end of the rope and realize that.


I hope that you will be among us still. I'm sorry that I didn't see this till now. You have a special palace here and a special role. I pray that God will help you to use them so that you can resolve what it is that you must resolve.

So work on that book and share its bits and pieces with us.

We'd miss what you have to say and the inimitable way that you say it.

I pray that you find peace in the confusion and courage at the challenge. I pray that you find what God has for you to do.

May He guide your going out and your coming in. May he guard you on your way.

I wrote to you once before about this and I believe that it is something you are being called to again.

The Spirit has been stirring in you. The gifts that you have are coming together to point you in a new direction. Be open to the Spirit and pray about this.

I believe that you would be a great asset to the Church in the Holy Priesthood. There are lots of priests who aren't opera quality singers. You have the gift for preaching because of the depth of your learning. Let the Church pull it together for you and test this vocation to see if this is the direction you are meant to go.

I, for one, will pray for you in this matter of discernment.
