Dear Friends,

I went through a terrible process of losing my job last week and I thought it was the end of the world.

I now see that it is the beginning of creation.

I thank God for guiding me, kicking and screaming, out of a bad situation and toward new possibilities.

I ask for everyone's forgiveness here as well.

sinfully yours,

Alex

All it means is that God has bigger and better plans for you. Just wait and see! He will lead you where he wants you.

Hi, Alex

It's so good to see you back. smile

Your absence on the forum felt like a hole, making communication with everyone more difficult.

You know, in the body of Christ, we are each a little member.....and each one is so important to the whole.....perhaps it is the same on these boards.

I still grieve over that Ben who came and went so quickly a few weeks ago....yes, I know, he was annoying to many people in the way he wrote and reacted.....still, perhaps if we had all been gentler? I don't know.....

Welcome back, Alex.

I hope your new horizons are bright!

Dear Friends,

I know that I can be very annoying, both in what I say and in how I react when I'm told . . .

Thank you.

Alex,

Being a family means that there's still a place waiting for you at the table even when you need to run up the stairs, slam your door and cry. Glad it's not empty anymore.

You know, just a mile or so away from where you were in crisis last week, God was working wonders for another little guy. (Check the Baby Ryan thread under Prayer.) I'm sure there's a connection - or at least resonance - somewhere in there, if only that you're both people I care about.

Remember shared joy is multiplied, and burdens shared are reduced.

Lifting your "load" to God, and giving thanks for your loving, passionate, silly, erudite self!

By the way I thought that this thread was going to be about Thanksgiving (you know Turkey, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob etc, etc.)
I'm leaving.

Dear Mother Sharon,

B'shem ha'Av v'haBen v'Ruach haKodesh, Elohim Echod - Amen!

(Some things never change!)

Thank you for your post - that is exactly what I'm like at times - I've a need to run up to my room!

I know I shouldn't do that, and the Administrator has gently scolded me for coming back and forth, and back and forth.

(He once told me my comings and goings present a credibility issue for me - but when people don't believe me, they tell me . . . wink ).

But when I think the hullabaloo I caused because of Peter the Great . . .

I guess we all have our views and we shouldn't impute wrong motives.

I accept that Davidb wants English only in the liturgy, the Administrator wants a unified Byzantine jurisdiction in NA and that I should only push the canonization process for William Wallace only so far . . .

From my perspective, I have nothing against English only liturgies in parishes where only English is understood, nothing against a unified Byzantine jurisdiction (under a Kyivan Patriarchate) and people can invoke which saints they want to.

See? I can be reasonable too! smile

Thank you, Mother Sharon, thank you all.

Alex

Hey, Alex....

Who said you were annoying? We said we missed you.... don't be annoying, in saying we thought you were annoying, or we might be annoyed, and that might annoy you biggrin
