Dear Professor Alex,

Sounds right up your alley. smile

I am happy for you and thanks be to
God who answers prayers.

This reminds me of the classic comment:

When the Lord closes a door he opens a window.

Before retiring I spent the last four years teaching history courses as a lowly adjunct at a university. Not at all what I expected I might ever do; but worked out better than anything I had ever anticipated. Students called me Professor M.J.

Congratulations. cool

Dear Mary Jo,

Thank you!

I've a long way yet before I could pretend to the title of "professor!"

There is a very strict fellow here at the university who will scowl at you if you call him "professor."

He's of the British school, you know. . .

Alex,

They will call you that. I told mine to call me Mrs. S_____ or M.J. and some did.

When the semesters began the new students would call the house. My husband would answer and they would ask for Professor S______and he said, "Who?"
