Dear Steve,

When haven't we agreed, Friend in Christ? Have I missed something? (I know you've corrected me at times, but that was simple Christian charity on your part!).

Thanks for your prayers and your great Christian example and witness.

And, Catholicos, how was your patronal feast of Mardi Gras?!

I hope you wore your patriarchal colours of purple, green and gold.

Remember, the validity of your consecration depends on your showing your true colours . . . which you always do, thankfully!!

Alex

One thing I have learned is that even though one can get upset by things said here, what is gained spiritually through converse with eminent Christians such as yourselves is much greater and uplifts even the "saggiest" of spirits.
May God bless you all and a special salute to the Administrator for his graced erudition and judgement here.

OH how nice to see you again biggrin biggrin biggrin

And nice to see you too!

(Hopefully, no one will read these posts of ours and think that we need help . . .).

That is a beautiful ring you have, love the colour of your blouse and your organization of your library is tres chic!

See, I'm perfectly normal . . . smile

Dear Angela,

Thank you for the compliment!

It is just that it is St Valentine's Day and I'm going out with my wife later on, so I put on a rather nice jacket and tie.

Glad you like them!! smile

God bless you!

Dear Catholicos,

The "Looney" is actually a term that we Canucks up here use for our one dollar coin.

It has the picture of a Loon on it and so . . .

We also have two dollar coins with representations of our government buildings on them.

We call those, "Loony Bins." smile ("Toonies" actually.)

Dear MsGuided,

I'm all out for today - I'm getting ready for a Valentine's Day dinner with my first wife, Tanya smile .

I've been told not to be too heavy on theology, history or the monarchy, if I know what's good for me.

So I'm practicing being cute and funny - at least for now.

I think one can be sexy and religious at the same time, don't you?

Anyway, it's back to my practice sessions. Where did I put that Harlequin romance? Ah, here it is under my Bible . . .

Incorrigibly yours,

Alex

Put down that Harlequin romance! Everything I wanted to know about romance, I read in Hosea. :p

Actually, the Song of Songs makes for some interesting after-dinner reading... biggrin

How's that for incorrigible? smile

Dear Catholicos,

I have yet to graduate to the sumptuous, passionate and fecund (I've always wanted to use that word somehow - thanks for making my dream come true) Song of Songs!

But what about you? smile You are, after all, younger.

And what are you doing for Valentine's Day? Not that it's any of my business, mind you.

But all this talk about sex and holiness is making me thirsty!

Alex

What am I doing? Walking to class in a few minutes... frown

On a brighter note, I'm glad I helped you broaden your vocabulary. :p

Dear Catholicos,

Give your "Main Squeeze" a hug from me, will you?

How's that for a "Cool vocabulary?"

Ah, to be young and in university again . . .

Alex,
Yes I certainly agree that there is always room for both being sexy and religious. Being a gentleman never hurts as well smile
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your wife, as for me, they have chocolate covered strawberries in the school dining hall, so as I'm forced to be away from the man I love, chocolate it is wink
Wishing everyone a joyful and love-full Valentine's Day!
MsGuided

Dear MsGuided,

Your Beau is very lucky to have you, indeed!

You are away from him on St Valentine's Day? that is a pity. However, you know what they say about absence and what it does to the heart . . .

You can have a great reunion when you do get to see one another!

I hope your Beau appreciates you (which I'm sure he does) and thanks God daily to have such a sensitive, intelligent and spiritual person, as yourself, in his life.

(I understand that chocolate can sometimes be even . . . never mind).

Happy Valentine's Day to the both of you!

Alex
