Brothers and Sisters:

I have a special intention that I cannot explain because of a promise to a Brother in Christ. I hope that you will understand the sacredness of such a promise to another. I believe that one's word is one's bond before the Lord and to break a confidence is to commit a grave sin against Christ Himself.

Please join me next Thursday, November 18th, in prayer. I have committed to a holy hour (for one hour) for my Brother in Christ and will find out the exact time my hour is needed later. I am asking that each of you offer a prayer or some special time for this intention because the Lord has promised in Scripture that when two or more ask for the same thing on earth He will grant it. When I am released from this promise of complete confidence, I will reveal as much as my brother will allow.

Thank God for the generosity of each of you, treasures of the Lord that you are. And thanks for joining me in prayer.

BOB

Just got the word that the time for me to hold my holy hour will be from 10 to 11 PM. Though this is usually the time I retire, this is that important.

I'll try to being this back up next Wednesday.

Thanks again.

BOB

P.S.: I belong to a lay movement and it is our custom to hold a holy hour for a brother or sister who is facing something wherein he/she needs someone somewhere praying for his/her intention or success or whatever. The power of prayer during such a time of trial, testing, etc. calls the Lord's attention to it and asks for His Help in a special way for the one prayed for.

"The lowliness of the tool heightens the glory of the Master Who uses it!"

Mother Maria Teresa of St. Joseph

Dear Bob & Brothers & Sisters, +May Our Blessed Lord Himself reward your great kindness and generosity! I will tell you that your prayers will be MOST appreciated...and it is for me, a poor sinner that you are praying. Let me say simply that I have a very special need for you join me in prayer next Thursday...and that I am literally and spiritually depending upon the Lord and your holy prayers. There are times in the life of each of us that the Lord places a burden before us and asks us, as He asked St. Peter, "Do you love me MORE than the others?" At such times a person trembles in fear, as St. Peter must have trembled. I have received such a burden (or should I say an opportunity?)...and I will need the help of your prayers to strengthen me and to go through the ordeal. If at some point in the future I can tell you more, I certainly will, but for now I am not ashamed to be asking for your help and your prayers to draw on. I need to be able to respond to the Lord as Peter did...and I am going to try and do just that, but I will need your holy prayers for strength.

May the Lord Himself gift you with everything you need for salvation and reward this 'sip of cool water' given in His name!

With much love for you all,
+Father Archimandrite Gregory, who prays for you!

AMEN!

And though we should remember, please start a NEW Thread so we will see it.

I also will join you in prayer as I have continued to pray for and with you.

Also, that is a blessed day for us, our oldest son William was born on that day 29 years ago. Praise God!

Anhelyna:

Time is immaterial when one prays. When one prays, one enters eternity just as when one enters the Liturgy. An hour at any time joins each of us here who pray for an hour, for a quarter hour, for five minutes, or on eht run.

Anhelyna; we share a time zone... Prayer is eternal and timeless.....I wake around that time though, or just after..prayers here, Father. On God's Holy Mountain in Ireland. I will light a candle....

It's 9:30 PM EST here in Altoona. In exactly 48 hours, God willing, I will be in my parish church getting ready for my holy hour as I promised.

Wherever you are Thursday, please open the door to eternity and ask the Lord to bless Father Gregory. He will be in great need of our prayers that day. I started this thread by asking for an anonymous brother and Father revealed himself to be the object of this request. Please help him.

Remember that when we pray we enter eternity for that time to stand before the Throne of Grace and speak directly to the Lord, to His Holy Mother, and to all the saints and angels, in the same way we experience in the Liturgy. Time, space, distance, and eternity dissolve into each other and there is just that NOW with Christ: face-to-face, one-on-one, but with the added benefit of being part of the total Communion of Saints that will keep up our petition when we return to where we walk the pilgrim way.

Thank God for each of you.

In Christ,

BOB

Bob,

Regardless of whom they were intended for, my prayers will be joined with yours on Thursday; that they are for the intentions of our beloved brother and father in Christ, Archimandrite Gregory, will cause them to be even more heartfelt on my part.

Many years,

Neil
