Brothers and Sisters:

Christ is in our midst!! He is and always will be!!!

I just received an email from my uncle, William Nelson. He has been struggling with cancer for the past few years. He says that there is now nothing more than can be done for him medically. He asks that each one of us pray for him.

Thank God for the support of each of you. May He find you busy doing the Father's Will when He comes.

BOB

Lord Jesus Christ, during your life you were surrounded by suffering and you eliminated it whenever you could. Look down on Your suffering servant, William and alleviate his suffering. Help the sick in body, especially those terminally ill, and the sick at heart who are weary of life. Come to the aid of those victimized by war or by their uncaring neighbors. Encourage those who suffer discrimination because of race, creed or color, because of their poverty, ignorance or different lifestyle. Free those who are oppressed and feed those who are hungry. Inspire in me a firm desire to cooperate with You in this liberation of the downtrodden. Let me be open to others, to love them in You and to share with them what I am and have. We ask this in Your Precious Name, Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lord have mercy on William!

Bob,
Hang in there. Please give him as much support as possible. My dad passed away last year in January from cancer, and I only wished I could have spent even more time with him.

You will both be in my prayers.

Michael

Brothers and Sisters:

Just received word that my uncle, William, has been returned home. He is receiving hospice care a few times per week. His two appointments with his physicians were canceled last week because the physicians said there would be no point--they can do nothing more than to keep him comfortable.

My prayer is that he will have the opportunity for a last good confession, Viaticum so that the Lord will accompany him on the last portion of his earthly pilgrimage, and a good defense at his personal judgment.

Lord Jesus, grant William Your mercy. He is finishing his earthly pilgrimage and is, like all of us, in need of Your mercy. Comfort his family as they keep vigil at his bedside. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, Lord, save him. AMEN.

In Christ,

BOB

Be thankful he can also end his earthly life in his own home surrounded by those who love him.
Prayers for a peaceful death.

Sweet Jesus what could thou have done for us that thou has not done. You said our Father has prepared a mansion for us, if it were not so you would have told us, now prepare in your servant Williams heart a mansion for you as you prepare to escort him to his eternal home. May he have the grace of Holy Anointing and a good confession so he rises to see the glory of your face shining all about him. Maranatha Lord Jesus, Maranatha!
