As Jesus taught us to pray...

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....

I'm a little late in joining my prayers to yours, but I trust our Lord and Savior doesn't mind. wink

May you find peace, dear Alice, shelter from the storm, protection from the Evil One, and direction from the Lover of us all.

I would like to graciously and most humbly thank all who prayed for my intentions.

While it may be a while before I know if the two serious prayer intentions will be answered, I can tell you that one intention did take a sudden turn, and atleast for that one, things now look a bit more hopeful rather than bleak.

I can also tell you that for the days all of you prayed, I truly felt your prayers for me in a most amazing way.

I thank you all so much, and please know that I really, really love you all in Christ our Lord.

Humbly,
Alice

Unfortunately, these personal intentions which I have for some matters my family is going through seem to be going from bad to worse. Everytime something looks hopeful it turns out to be the opposite in the end.

My faith is being tried and there is much anxiety in my soul.

I have even had the service of the Holy Unction service performed in my home with all my family members present, and with it, according to the priest's request, prayed a blessing for everyone who may have hurt us through the years. At the end Father annointed us all.

Although I am still working hard at moderating behind the scenes, it is hard to post lately. I still remember you all in prayer and I love all of you, but I just don't have it in me right now, with all the worry I am facing, to chance posting and offending someone as I seem to have done yesterday. I humbly ask forgiveness of anyone on this board who I may have unintentionally hurt, whether in my moderating, or in my discussions.

I would appreciate if you could remember me and my family in your prayers.

Humbly and gratefully in Christ,
Alice

Alice you are always in my prayers and I remember you at Divine Liturgy. I know what you mean when you said that the prayers of the folks here on the forum are 'effective'. Glory to God!

You know it seems like at the age of the Apostles - how everything was so very difficult for them - except sharing the Word of God, and that they did so powerfully - as you do my dear sister in Christ. Alice it is so hard to have family members in travale, that is so difficult for us. I think it is easier for us to go through things ourselves than to watch those we love go through them. I just don't understand the one thing I have noticed and one thing I have heard from so many who walk a really tight rope with our God is that the craziness in our lives is crazier than it has ever been - and it seems so for everyone. However, at this point I know that is not much consolation. So I am thinking, and from what I have observed, you walk that really 'tight rope' with the Lord...

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Dear Lord Jesus, please surround Alice, her husband, and family, her friends, all of the particular people that she is praying for, all of her intentions for situations that have occured, with a perimeter of Your Love and Protection throughout the day today and everyday a hundred yards in all directions. Lord Jesus, render any demons that are there, or should try to come, deaf, dumb, and blind. Strip them of all weapons, illusions, armor, power, and authority. Disable them from communicating or interacting in any way. Bind, sever, and separate them, sending them directly to the foot of Your Cross without manifestation or harm to be dealt with by you Jesus.

Lord Jesus, with Your Precious Blood cover Alice, her husband, and family, the Holy Spirit fill Alice, her husband, and family, Mary's mantle of love and protection surround Alice, her husband, and family, St. Joseph guide Alice, her husband, and family, the Holy Angels and Saints guard and protect Alice, her husband, and family from all unfortunate events. Protect them from fire, theft, flood, storms, ailments, and accidents of every sort, distress, hardship, curse, and all untoward things Jesus. I ask all this in your Name Lord Jesus and I thank and praise you. I love you and bless you Jesus. Alleluia. Amen!

Dear Sister Alice,

This came to mind for you...

Isiah 62:
6 O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls;
they will pray day and night, continually.
Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.
7 Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work,
until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.
8 The Lord has sworn to Jerusalem by his own strength:
I will never again hand you over to your enemies.
Never again will foreign warriors come
and take away your grain and new wine.
9 You raised the grain, and you will eat it,
praising the Lord.
Within the courtyards of the Temple,
you yourselves will drink the wine you have pressed.

I am in awe at the beauty and love shown in all these posts. Especially the beautiful and heartfelt posts by Pani Rose. May our Lord Jesus bless all of these wonderful people, and may He hear their plea's and give special love and peace to Alice and help her in all her needs.
