Dear Friends:
Today I had a talk with one of my closest friends. In the summer of '05 he lost his job and had to change careers. This has created some financial difficulties. Recently his wife felt so overwhelmed that she went to see a psychologist. My friend has agreed to go with his wife to a marriage/family therapist (not the psychologist his wife is seeing). Unfortunately, the psychologist has convinced his wife that all of their problems are his fault, which is adding to the tension between them. Please pray for a peaceful resolution to their current problems.
Thank you,
Ryan

Dear Ryan,

The situation your friends are going through is extremely stressful. Unfortuntely, it has been my experience that sometimes secular therapists create more trouble than there already is in a given situation...all the while, ofcourse, taking your money.

If I may be so bold as to gently suggest that they turn towards God faithfully and fervently in prayer for their situation, not allow the evil one and those who he works through to raise doubts and discord about each other, and that they turn to the Church and a good and compassionate pastor or priest or spiritual Father to help them, rather than a psychologist.

I pray that the Lord will heal their relationship so that they can bond together in the strong and mighty power that is marital love and that they grab hold of the mightiest tool of God's love which is prayer..."where there are two or more together gathered in my name, I am there among them"...and that their financial woes will get better.

+I pray this in the most powerful name of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit! AMEN!

In Christ,
Alice

Through the intercession of St. Joseph and the Holy Theotokos, I pray that their marriage will survive this test and become stronger than ever! Lord have mercy on them!

Prayers for Ryan's friends, that the stresses of their life be relieved and they find the spiritual, psychological, and material strengths needed for them to recover their life and happiness together.

AMEN!

Lord let their ears, minds, and heart be open to hearing your words for you are the great psyshologist. Nothing can compare to your love Jesus, so put this marriage and family into the right relationship with you as their healer...

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....
