Dear Alex:

I became apprehensive because of the uncanny time you experienced this "itch!"

It was during the 2003 WYD in Toronto that Nik, now Deacon Nikolai of ROCOR, was extolling the virtues of Pope John Paul II in his journal memorializing his attendance at the event, along with a contingent of Eastern Catholics.

Shortly thereafter, he doxed!

As Pope Benedict visits with the young in Cologne on the occasion of the 2005 WYD, I hope this does not presage another doxing of a very prominent Eastern Catholic we know! wink

Beloved Brother Alex, in Christ,

The most important is for having a life in Christ, with true love for the Most Holy Trinity, for all the people, for all.

May our Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy upon you, and enlighten you, and bring peace in your soul. Amin.

Always the will of God.

Brotherly, in Christ, Marian +

I've found a great spiritual director (who absolutely refuses to let me "dox" under any circumstances wink ) and under whose tutelage I will exercise myself in the virtues of obedience and humility.

Orthodox in communion with Rome (Viva Il Papa!)
Alex,

I am a Byzantine Catholic today in part because of the influence of my spiritual father, who is a Melkite Archimandrite. He spent many, many patient hours with me over the phone several years back helping me to think through my attraction to Orthodoxy, finally helping me to decide in favor of the "Orthodox Catholic" path.

Many years!

Dear Friends,

Actually, WYD 2005 greatly strengthened my "Orthodoxy in communion with Rome" faith!!

I am in awe of the new Pope and the devotion of so many Catholics at that event!

Now I'm faced with a new problem.

Although I'm EC, I now like the Monstrance!

Dear Alex:

Then, you have to reconsider your first "inkling!"

You might have to "Romanize," instead! biggrin

(Ooops, you ARE already ROMAN!) wink

Dear Amado,

Yes, when I saw the devotion to the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar - I was deeply moved!

I knew then where our Martyrs got their strength to withstand Soviet oppression, as they themselves said!

Oops! That is NOT an anti-Russian statement, Sir!

It's just aimed at the times the Soviets were anti-Eastern Catholic - and all the other times too . . .

My wife asked if the Mostrance was supposed to look like a very large Host.

Interesting perception, but I think it was meant to look like an Eastern-style halo.

Don't you agree?
