Dear Friends,

Please pray for me as I begin the process of discernment about whether to return to my Mother Orthodox Church.

Alex, brat' moya, I have been there time and time again with that struggle, never really ever am freed of that struggle, and thus rest assured of my prayers.

The Akathist to the Holy Trinity will help your discernment, as well... smile

I join you in prayer, for a clearer discernment this time!

Amado

P.S. Just to calm me down from "shock!," can you inform us which is your "Mother Orthodox Church" :p ?

Dear Friends,

I think I'll log off here for a while to do some serious thinking, discussing and, most of all, praying.

It's something I need to do, and now, for my own peace of mind.

May God richly and abundantly bless you, answer all your prayers and bring a big smile to all your faces, whether you feel like it or not! smile

Your servant,

Alex

Alex...May the Spirit enlighten you and make your path clear. I trust as you say that you will give this much prayer and not act hastily or on an uncertain conscience. Tonight during our prayer time my husband, Ron, and I will be praying for you, your family, friends, and fellow church members, and all others who will be affected by this change.

In Christ,

Mary Jo

Dear Friends,

Perhaps I was a bit drastic in my first post here.

I've found a great spiritual director (who absolutely refuses to let me "dox" under any circumstances wink ) and under whose tutelage I will exercise myself in the virtues of obedience and humility.

Dear Amado,

Seriously though, I reviewed every point of faith and found myself in agreement with Orthodoxy.

I then looked at what you Latins believe . . . and also didn't see what was wrong with you, other than the usual things . . . wink

Then I looked again at the whole Papacy thing . . .

I guess I'm so brain-washed as a Catholic that I can't imagine not being in communion with the Pope of Rome! smile

It's a bit confusing, but then again I am too . . .

Alex
