Those of you who explore the other forums of this site are probably aware of the recent postings from a young man named Troy (under the screen name Churchwork). Adminstrator recently posted the following: Troy is a member of a cult. My goal here is to plant seeds within him that can grow into a desire for Truth. ...
Please join me in praying for Troy.
Admin Merciful Father, draw near to Troy and assure him of your all-embracing love so that he can tear down the walls he has built around himself. O Lord Jesus, Gentle Shepherd, one of your flock is lost, let him hear your voice and heed your call. Come, Holy Spirit. Open Troy's heart and mind to your life-giving Truth. He seeks you in darkness; lead him to light. Through the prayers of the Holy Fathers and the intercession of the most Holy Theotokos, O Savior, save us! And let us pray also for our Adminstrator -- in Thanksgiving for the call he has heard to respond to this troubled individual and that the Holy Spirit may imbue him with all wisdom and grace.

Our Administrator has asked us to renew our prayers for Troy/Churchwork...
Two prayers of St. Leo the Great come to mind:
O Lord: Give to [Troy], we pray, the spirit of truth and of peace, that [he] may know you with all his mind; and that following with all his heart after those things which are pleasing to thee, [he] ever may possess the gifts of your bountiful goodness...
O God, who has established the foundations of your Church upon the holy mountains: Grant that she may not be moved by any wiles of error which would seek to overthrow her, nor may she be shaken by any eartly disquietude, but ever stand firmly upon the ordinances of the apostles, and by their help, be kept in safety.
And finally (even though Great Lent is not yet upon us) ...
O LORD, Master of my life, grant that I may not be infected with the spirit of slothfulness and inquisitiveness, with the spirit of ambition and vain talking.
Grant instead to me, your servant, the spirit of purity and of humility, the spirit of patience and neighborly love.
