Dear Friends,
Today at 4:10 EST my Godmother and aunt, Myroslava Maria, died in hospital.
I just got back - we went to pray over her body in hospital and I'll be helping to organize the funeral that will be held on Monday.
She lost both of her two sons, one to a car accident, the other to skin cancer.
She suffered much in life. But I'll always remember her warm smile and her love and joyful, out-going spirit.
She loved parties, and her Christmas and Easter parties were the best - real family affairs with lots of good Ukrainian food!
Now my father's entire family is united in Heaven.
Eternal memory to the Servant of God, Myroslava Maria!

Dear Friends,
Thank you all very much for your offers of prayer for my Godmother and aunt!
All the arrangements have been made and I have yet to write a eulogy.
I inherit from her, among other things, a beautiful icon of Our Lady of Kazan that was given to her father-in-law by a (White) Russian soldier during WWI.
Anyway, a busy weekend ahead.
