Dear Alex:
Thank you for keeping us here in your prayers.
Are you speaking of short-term preparation or long term preparation? I can't tell what you mean here - what ministry are you referring to?

Alex:

I'm a bit late, but I pray that your Godmother will enter the Mansions of the Just and that the Lord will cause her memory to be eternal in His Kingdom.

Losing a member of one's family is a tough event. As you grieve, be gentle with yourself. Although I work with this type of event everyday, it still hits me personally as if I'd been in the ring with a professional boxer. I often don't know if it's day or night.

Call me if you want to talk or vent.

In Christ,

BOB

Alex,

May God and the Blessed Mother hold you close today as you attend the funeral.

I prayed the Rosary last night for your Godmother.

Isn't today the feast of Immaculate Conception? What a wonderful feast-day for your Godmother's funeral!

your beadswoman,
Tammy

Dear Friends,

The funeral today was inspiring and we gave "Teta Slava" a great "send-off."

Thank you for all your prayers and for everything.

God bless,

Alex

Don't forget the Canon for the Departed from the Old Rite prayer book! I have found great solace in remembering loved ones with this prayer. You can even make a kolyvo for when you finish.

Dear Diak,

Thank you - I take that as my personal spiritual command! smile

I'll busy myself with what you recommend - and wait for calmer and cooler waters before trying to swim again on the Byzantine Forum.

May the Lord receive your Godmother and be her joy for eternity.

May she continue her care for her god-child in her prayers.

As did the Spirit, may he find peaceful waters to stir soon.
