Dear Friends, Today is my school's graduation day celebration at a banquet hall. I'm the master of ceremonies - hopefully I'll add and not subtract from the classiness of the event! (I add a lot of my "class" to the forum, no? ). In your charity, I ask for your prayers for the young people graduating today. May God and His Most Holy Mother always guard and protect them throughout their lives and may what we shared in religion class be like the germinating seed planted in fertile ground to sprout forth heavenly-scented spiritual blossoms in their hearts for union with God through Christ in the Holy Spirit. Gaudeamus igitur! Alex

For any of us who have taught religion, we can only hope that something we said will have rooted itself in their souls, and that somewhere, sometime, and somehow they will be able to draw upon it, and that it will make a difference in their lives...
May God bless your students with His love and with a firm belief in Him.
Alice

Alex it sounds like, all in all, it was a wonderful year for you. May God richly bless you and your students with peace, health, and happiness for many years to come...
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen....

Dear Friends, It was a wonderful graduation and Vladyka Kyr Stephan, our Eparch, was there. He was supposed to leave early, but decided to stay to the end instead (I was slated to say the closing prayer, but as he was there, I asked him to come up to do it). He was so pleased with everything that he said he would ALWAYS come to our annual graduations - how's about that, hmmm? An inspiring evening altogether - each student came forward to give his or her own little speech - in Ukrainian. I'm happy to report that they all gave excellent speeches . . . no sign of overwhelming cultural assimilation among these as of yet . . . they are still UKRAINIAN Catholics and Orthodox! Alex
