A token of my appreciation for all your advice and support... smile

Where does it dwell?
Where does that we strive for have its seat?
Where does the heart of all things rest?
Does it lay in Alexandria or Antioch?
In New Rome or the Rome of the West?
Where does it dwell?

Where does it dwell?
Have the theologians fought it out yet?
Have the ecclesiologists not yet decided?
Is it a possibility still or is it lost forever?
To an age when we were not yet divided?
Where does it dwell?

Where does it dwell?
This assembly no force has ever surmounted?
This thing we call the Catholic Church?
This Kingdom that Christ died to deliver us?
Tell us where on Earth?
Where does it dwell?

Where does it dwell?
In textbooks, teaching and documents?
In the writings of some great saint?
In the echo of the patristic age?
Which now has grown so faint?
Where does it dwell?

Where does it dwell?
Let me tell you
It dwells in the hearts of those who answer
The supplication of one they do not even know
It dwells in all the sundry fields and valleys
Where the sowing man did sow
Where does it dwell?

Where does it dwell?
It dwells where the word Catholic
Unites all in prayer in spite of schism
It dwells where Latin and Greek prefix not Church
And old grudges are forgiven
Where does it dwell?

Where does it dwell?
It dwells within the virtue of love
That comes down from Heaven alone
It dwells in the heavenly sanctuary above
Before the Fathers throne
Where does it dwell?

Where does it dwell?
It dwells where Esau can embrace Jacob
It dwells where brothers can excuse past wrongs
It dwells in the support of ones spiritual family
In their chants, hymns, prayers and songs
Where does it dwell?

It dwells throughout the body of Christ
Wherever on earth its members may be
It dwells right here and now in this place
Its witness, in your prayers for me

The Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic forever
And the gates of Hell shall never ever overcome
It dwells here and now and waits to dwell in fullness again
Until the day that they may all be one

God Bless you all
Myles

Myles, you might consider recourse to the beautiful Prayer of St. Ephraim that we use in the Great Fast to overcome those passions that often seize and overtake us:

O Lord and Master of my life, take from me the spirit of sloth, despair, lust of power, and idle talk. (Prostration)

But give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience, and love to Thy servant. (Prostration)

Yea, O Lord and King, grant me to see my own transgressions, and not to judge my brother, for blessed art Thou, unto ages of ages. Amen. (Prostration)
